Driver Ed FAQ

Driving lessons range from 1 hour to 90 minutes (1.5 hours) long, which is the maximum time recommended by the Pennsylvania Department of Education per lesson.  In certain circumstances, we may schedule lessons that exceed the recommended duration.

Yes, You must posses a valid Pennsylvania Learner's Permit to schedule a driving lesson. If you are from out-of-state, you will have to request a Pennsylvania permit to take lessons. Learn how to get your permit.

Students who complete a minimum of six hours of Behind-the-Wheel instruction will receive a certificate of completion by email.  Please provide us with the email address you wish the certificate sent.

All instruction is provided in the school's vehicles.  Upon request, accommodations can be made for students to practice in their own vehicles.  

Yes.  We provide one-on-one lessons without the distraction of other passengers. Special arrangements are made for students that require an interpreter or have other special needs.  We do not participate in "piggybacking" lessons, where students drive other students home at the end of their lessons.  

We recommend booking lessons early during the six-month permit period.  Since students under 18 must hold their permit for six months, spacing lessons out allows for better skill development.  Waiting until the last minute before the Road Test is not advised.  

Due to scheduling and instructor availability, all purchases are final.  We do not offer refunds for unused, canceled, or missed lessons.  

Lessons may be rescheduled with advance notice, subject to instructor availability.  A cancellation fee may apply if sufficient notice is not provided.

Yes. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to an $80 cancellation fee.
